Writing has been a part of Maria's life since she was ten years old. She started with journal writing which back in the day was called a diary. In the sixth grade Maria was introduced to Haiku and later started writing poetry. She does open mic poetry readings and features around New York City where vibes can be explosive and so inspiring and where she has met wonderful friends. She went to Woodbury University in Los Angeles and the New York School of Interior Design. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, cooking and reading a good novel, shopping for jewelry and interior decorating and traveling abroad. Presently, Maria works lovingly on a second poetry book.
